I have no idea what’s going on.
This breaks my heart. I used to go to Parliament Hill and take the tour when I was having a bad day because its halls were so peaceful and a gentle reminder of the nation we live in.
I don’t know how to react as a patriot - whether to be fed up, angry, or humble. I just pray that this doesn’t completely limit access to Parliament.
And the worst insult of all was when he should the honour guard… that soldier was guarding the unknown soldier’s grave, which is an incredibly central figure to Canadian history and culture.
Political or not, I don’t want to see Ottawa turn into DC.
